Lockdown Project for Paul
17/03/2022
Paul from York decided to undertake a ‘Lockdown Project’ and built an outstanding raised garden pond.
Paul sent across a detailed drawing with dimensions of his new feature pond. One of our Engineers then calculated which size liner would be needed with the length, width, depth and sloping bottom taken into account.
Butek Ponds supplied Paul with a bespoke 1mm Butyl Box Welded Pond Liner with fully vulcanised seams and a 4” flange around the top. A 3000CBR puncture-resistant geotextile underlay was also supplied to further protect the Butyl liner from any debris or sharp edges in the base of the pond.
Paul also had a pipe that needed accommodating for and the Butek Ponds factory technicians were happy to help and welded a 45˚ 32mm pipe sleeve at the exact location Paul requested to allow for easy installation.
